Associate Digital Lead

Someone senior to own your digital work.

For organisations that need a Digital Lead's judgement and leadership, but not five days a week. I join for an agreed number of days, take responsibility for your digital programme and report to your leadership team.

Does this sound familiar?

If two or three of these are true, a part-time Digital Lead will probably pay for itself.

  • Your website and digital projects have no clear owner.
  • Agencies are briefed by whoever has time, and the results vary.
  • You spend money on digital but can't say what it returns.
  • Old systems and manual workarounds are slowing your team down.
  • You need senior digital leadership, but a full-time hire is hard to justify.

What I take on

Six responsibilities, one person accountable.

Strategy and vision

A roadmap for your websites, products and digital initiatives, tied to what the business is trying to achieve.

  • Digital audit and priorities
  • 12-month roadmap, reviewed quarterly
  • Budget recommendations

Team leadership

Leading and coordinating the people who do the work, in-house or outside.

  • Developers, designers and content creators
  • Audio and video teams
  • Mentoring junior staff

Project and delivery

Taking projects from brief to launch on schedule, on budget and to standard.

  • Briefs and specifications
  • Plans, milestones and reporting
  • Quality checks before launch

Performance and analytics

Measuring what matters and using it to decide what comes next.

  • GA4 and CRM set-up and review
  • KPIs for traffic, conversion and ROI
  • A monthly report your board will read

Stakeholder alignment

One point of contact between your leadership, technical teams and suppliers.

  • Translating between board and developers
  • Agency selection and management
  • Contracts and scope kept in check

Process and technology

Finding the bottlenecks that cost you time, and replacing them with tools that work.

  • Workflow and systems review
  • Automation of repetitive tasks
  • Choosing and introducing new tools

The first 90 days

What you can expect, month by month.

  1. Month 1

    Listen and audit

Meet your people and suppliers, review your systems, data and spend, and agree what success looks like.

  2. Month 2

    Roadmap and quick wins

A prioritised roadmap signed off by your leadership, and the first fixes already under way.

  3. Month 3

    A steady rhythm

Regular delivery, a monthly performance report, and a team that knows who to come to.

Ways to work together

Flexible by design.

For busy periods

Two or more days

For launches, rebuilds or a change programme, scaling back once it's done.

Fixed scope

A single project

A website, platform or system delivered end to end, with an agreed price.

Common questions

Do you work on site or remotely?

Both. Most clients prefer a mix, with on-site days for workshops and key meetings. I work on site in Guildford, London and the South East.

Can you work with our existing agency?

Yes. Often the biggest improvement comes from clearer briefs and a single point of contact, not a new supplier.

Who would you report to?

Usually your managing director, CEO or marketing director, whoever owns the outcome.

How do we end the arrangement?

With one month's notice, and a handover so nothing depends on me.
